I did my last Christmas shopping with Benjamin and I am happy with what I have gotten everyone. I also got myself a book to read over Christmas. Yeah that’s right - a book. Take that, University of Cumbria! I am going to read a book without feeling guilty that I should instead be dissecting every little word Sagmeister has ever written just to prove that I even have a slightest interest in graphic design.

These two books I got for my brothers and hopefully they will like them. I did like Invisible Monsters (I still have your book btw, Deniz) so I am guessing these ones are good also. Plus the covers are awesome. So yeah. I am done with the Christmas shopping and tonight I am going to watch the Office. HUZZAH!

I got a letter in the mail today and I immediately knew who it wad from. “ROBIN!” I’ll never forget what his hand drawn type looks like. And I got excited because Robin is never ever boring. He will always be a million times more clever and witty than me and even though we don’t talk like we used to I do keep myself updated on what he does because it is always awesome.

What I am trying to say is: check this out.

I guess I have been hanging out with Jenny pretty much constantly since I got back which has been nice. I’ve done pretty much all my Christmas shopping, except something for Jimmy.

Ahhh I don’t know what else to write. Lame ass blog post I know. I am sorry but I am seriously too tired to be witty right now. So nice to be home for a while though. So nice.

So we had our deadline on Tuesday and I was ready for the crit until the crit actually happened. Not much sleep + 5 cups of coffee the day before + stress + being nervous combined with the heat caused by 11 other people surrounding me probably feeling the same way made me feel so ill. I had to go lie down. And then I went home and felt super disgusting but made a Janssons Frestelse for our Christmas dinner. I got some sleep and I started to feel better after 2 litres of water and some painkillers. Christmas dinner was awesome. Elle was my secret Santa and she gave me a super nice recipe book :) Later on we went first to Lloyds where me & Deniz had an empowering conversation with Jen & Jane. Then to Concrete and everything that Concrete is.

Last night me and Craig went to the cinema and watched Where the Wild Things are and I thought it was a lovely film. The hype has been a bit annoying I must admit, but I really liked it (I am sure that in a few months time I am going to be super sick of it). Craig on the other hand was moaning during the whole film, and everytime an Arcade Fire-inspired song came on I knew that he wanted to kill himself. I also know that if it would have been Blink 182 he would have loved it.

Anyhoo. Tomorrow I will be back in Sweden (jinx!) and I cannout wait. Here is a Christmas gift for you guys.

Glee saved my life last night. Plus, anything with Jane Lynch is always ALWAYS genius.

It is frustrating to me that some people can show up with pretty much no idea at all and get a few jokes in and it is all OK. I do not possess the gift of charming myself out of a situation, I do not feel comfortable doing that, I take my work seriously and it is frustrating to feel that I have to prove to someone that I am not a complete failure.

Anyhoo. Here is what I am currently working on. It is a branding campaign for the Body Shop to re-establish their reputation as the ‘pioneer of ethical beauty’.

The four days in Dublin were really really nice. The weekend will forever be remembered as The Time I Touched Deniz Wrongly in my Sleep. Laney’s parents were awesome and so inviting, and I really liked the city. Thursday we went shopping, Friday we went on a tourist-y bus tour and went out in the evening, Saturday we chillaxed and it was all just exactly what I needed. (Don’t worry, I did manage to do some work also.) I did some super awesome shopping, especially the make up that I bought.

Now I am back to reality and back to the Body Shop brief. I really like my idea for it, and hopefully my tutors will also like it when I talk to them tomorrow.

I also got my marks back from the last module and even though i passed I got failed for my billboards, which was very surprising actually. I spent aaaged knitting those things and then redoing them. But anyhoo, dust it off my shoulders and do better work the next time. Made a start to the new Body Shop brief today and I can see myself getting really into it, I just have to get careful losing myself in it and stay focused.

After I’ve had this cup of coffee I am going to start packing because tomorrow me, Deniz and Elle are going with Laney to Dublin and staying until Sunday. I am so excited about this, it will be so nice to get away for a while. Hopefully I’ll get most of my Christmas shopping done there. Either way, I am sure I will have an amazing time :)

Yeah life feels totally ok right now. Au revoir, les enfants I will see you soon.

Speaking of graduation, here is Laney on the big day. The ceremony was super boring but we had a nice day celebrating L-bird because she is the best.

Maria is awesome. And yes, you spotted it right, that is a Maps of Columbus pin. REPRESENT.

Robbie and Tom needs to be here just to let them know that we can still be friends even though I am a feminist.

Deadline on Tuesday so I am staying up tonight making patterns for a duvet cover I’m going to screen print. I think it will turn out really good.

In other news, I am so super sick of this town. I am considering buying two tickets to the Local Natives in March and I’ll just go by myself if no one wants to go with me. It seems like no one wants to go see Vampire Weekend, but I am not missing Local Natives just because this town is the most boring place on earth. Hellz no.

I am so looking forward to going to Dublin on Wednesday for a few days. I am going to do all my Christmas shopping so that when I get back to Sweden I can chillax (aka buy things for myself).

When he starts screaming I want to kiss him on his mouth.

My dinner: quinoa + fresh spinach + avocado + tomato + feta cheese + smoked salmon + a dressing I made (balsam vinegaer + fruit sugar that you boil). It was super awesome and super easy.

Tomorrow I think I might get drunk, it’s been a long time since. Who knows, maybe I’ll be moving my hips like yeah.

The big black box in the corner is their amp. There was nothing I could do about that, so please don’t judge me. This is my first emo design and I quite like it.
